The download feature on the Sidebar allows users to download the data currently on the map. Use the legend to change the year, variable, or geography (shade by) for data layers or filter the points.
- Layers will download the selected geographies and data.
- Points will download all data points/addresses within the location.
- Points with Layer will download all the geographies that a point sits in and the corresponding data for the geographies.
Layers data downloads will show the geography, the FIPS code for that geography (if available), the indicator values, the source of the data, and the area that the data was generated for. A column called "Formatted FIPS" is available so the codes are displayed correctly in Microsoft Excel and also use in other software.
Points dataset downloads give users all the data for each address, the source of the data, and the area the data was generated for.
Points with Layer Data downloads will display the geography, the FIPS code (if available), all the data for the point dataset, the values of the layer data indicator where the point is in, the source of the data layer and points, and the location the data was generated for. A column called "Formatted FIPS" is available so the codes are displayed correctly in Microsoft Excel and also use in other software.
